1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the services provided by TheTravelRoot ("we", "us", or "our"), including our website, phone booking systems, and customer support (collectively, the "Services"), you agree to abide by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use our Services.

2. Use of Our Services

TheTravelRoot acts as a travel agent. We provide a platform and service to assist you in gathering travel information, determining the availability of travel-related goods and services, making legitimate reservations, and transacting business with travel suppliers.

• You must be at least 18 years of age to use our Services.
• You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when making a booking.
• You are responsible for any activity that occurs under your booking reference or account.
• You agree not to make any speculative, false, or fraudulent reservations.

3. Booking and Reservations

When you book a travel product with us, we act as an intermediary between you and third-party travel suppliers (e.g., airlines, hotels, tour operators).

Third-Party Suppliers

Your reservations are subject to the specific terms and conditions of the third-party travel suppliers. We highly recommend that you read the specific terms and conditions of the supplier providing your travel services, especially regarding baggage rules, check-in times, and cancellation policies.

4. Payments and Pricing

All prices are subject to availability and can be withdrawn or varied without notice. The price is only guaranteed once paid for in full by you.

• Pricing: Prices quoted generally include applicable taxes, unless otherwise stated. Baggage fees, seat selection fees, or local resort fees may not be included.
• Payment Methods: We accept major credit cards. By providing payment information, you authorize us (or our third-party payment processors) to charge the total booking amount.
• Service Fees: TheTravelRoot does not charge upfront service fees for general flight searches. Any applicable agency fees for complex itinerary building will be explicitly stated before you confirm your booking.

5. Cancellations, Changes, and Refunds

Cancellation and change rules are dictated by the specific travel supplier (airline, hotel, etc.) associated with your booking.

• Supplier Penalties: Most discounted airline tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable. Changes or cancellations may incur heavy penalties imposed by the airline.
• Agency Processing Fees: In addition to supplier penalties, TheTravelRoot may charge a processing fee for administering changes or cancellations on your behalf.
• Refund Processing: Refunds, if applicable according to supplier rules, will be processed back to the original form of payment. Processing times vary by airline and can take anywhere from 1 to 8 weeks.

6. Travel Documents and Requirements

It is solely your responsibility to ensure you possess all required travel documents before departure.

• Passports & Visas: You must ensure you have a valid passport (many countries require 6 months of validity beyond your return date) and any necessary visas for your destination and transit points.
• Health Requirements: You are responsible for fulfilling any health requirements, including vaccinations or testing, required by your destination country.
• TheTravelRoot is not liable if you are denied boarding or entry into a country due to improper documentation.

7. Limitation of Liability

TheTravelRoot acts merely as an agent for the suppliers in selling travel-related services. We do not control, operate, or own any of the suppliers providing services for your trip.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TheTravelRoot shall not be liable for any injury, loss, claim, damage, or any special, exemplary, punitive, indirect, incidental or consequential damages of any kind, whether based in contract, tort, strict liability, or otherwise, which arises out of or is in any way connected with:

• Any performance or non-performance by a travel supplier.
• Any delays, cancellations, overbookings, strikes, force majeure events, or other causes beyond our direct control.
• Any errors or inaccuracies in the information provided by suppliers on our platform.
